Basic insurance

New alternative insurance model as of 1 January 2020

Multimed

One of the features of Multimed is that the insured person has a choice of coordination partners for the provision of preventive health services and the treatment of health problems. The insured person is obliged to consult one of the coordination partners. Further to the Multimed list of doctors, coordination partners are recognised coordinating doctors or group practices as well as the Centre for Telemedicine. The insured person can choose whether to go to one of these doctors or practices, or to contact the Centre for Telemedicine.

The new insurance model can be taken out in the following cantons: Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft, Bern and Lucerne.

Health Account (HA) and Health Account Bonus: even more on offer

Increase in contribution limits HA Premium level:

Increase in the overall HA Premium limit from CHF 500 to CHF 700, in the ‘Family’ area limit from CHF 500 to CHF 700 and in the limits for the other areas such as ‘Fitness’ from CHF 350 to CHF 500 per calendar year.

 

Extended methods/offers HA Bonus:

In addition to swimming pool passes and active membership of sports clubs, contributions will be made to passes for sports facilities (e.g. climbing and bouldering gyms, cross-country skiing trails).

List of hospitals

Modification of the list of hospitals with selected service providers

The list of hospitals with selected service providers was revised and expanded for the products semi-private hospital insurance and myFlex hospitalisation insurance. The extended list is valid from 01.10.2019. In addition, the supplementary conditions of the myFlex hospitalisation insurance were specified in section 6.4 in favour of the insured persons.
