Check-ups and screening

In the early stages of some diseases you don’t have any complaints and feel healthy.

Overview

In the early stages of some diseases you don’t have any complaints and feel healthy. The purpose of a medical check-up is precisely to identify these diseases. Treatment can then start at an early stage and the progress of the disease can be slowed down or even stopped.

Symptoms

In the early stages, many diseases don't have any symptoms. Examples here include diabetes and high blood pressure.
The body can compensate for the damage caused (e.g. arterial calcification) for a long time. Even though there are no symptoms, the organs are attacked ever more severely.
