Hydrotherapy

Water therapy, developed primarily by Sebastian Kneipp (clergyman, 1821–1897).

Hydrotherapy refers to the methodical application of water in the form of baths, water jets, washes, compresses, packs or wraps, the water temperature and state (liquid or steam) varying according to the intended effect. Hydrotherapy is the key component of Kneipp therapy, which also involves exercise, a healthy diet and phytotherapy.
