Björn Rasch is Professor of Cognitive Biopsychology and Methods at the University of Fribourg (CH). He has devoted himself to the study of sleep for the last 20 years and published more than 100 academic articles on the subject. His research receives financial support from the Swiss National Science Foundation and the EU. It focuses on the relationship between memory and sleep and on how ideas, thoughts and hypnotic suggestions influence sleep quality and sleep architecture. In his book “Sleep: Explained simply” (2021, Hogrefe Verlag), Björn Rasch answers 200 questions about sleep on a scientific basis. Björn Rasch strives to create a better understanding of sleep in Switzerland and regularly gives press interviews on the subject.
