How outpatient insurance works

Would you like to know that you're well prepared for whatever comes your way? Whether glasses, a dental brace for your child or medication – outpatient insurance protects you and your family.

What outpatient means

It covers treatment and aids that don't require a stay in hospital. Examples include psychotherapy, vaccinations and insoles. In an emergency abroad, inpatient hospitalisation costs are also paid.

How much does myFlex Outpatient Insurance cost?

Outpatient Insurance comes in three categories: Economy, Balance and Premium. Premiums vary depending on age and category.

As individual as you are

Thanks to the Economy, Balance and Premium categories, outpatient insurance can be perfectly adapted to your needs. Choose the option that best matches you and your budget.

Good to know about myFlex Outpatient Insurance

Mandatory basic insurance doesn’t cover all your healthcare costs. myFlex Outpatient Insurance lets you round out your cover.

Increase your cover, no health questions asked

Choose the Upgrade option. This gives you the flexibility to tailor your insurance to your own personal circumstances, regardless of your state of health. The option may be exercised every 5 years (at the age of 20, 25, 30, etc. up to age 70).

Participation in cost of fitness, yoga and more

If you have both myFlex Outpatient Insurance and myFlex Hospitalisation Insurance, you benefit from the Health Account. We provide support – of up to CHF 800 per year – for your health-related activities through the Health Account.

Pay less thanks to no-claims bonus

We reward people who hardly ever see a doctor or go into hospital. A no-claims bonus is granted if no benefits are claimed from the insurance in question during a certain period of time. This entitlement is reviewed each year. The bonus depends upon the performance of the insurance business.
