Oak bark sitz baths are a tried-and-tested remedy for inflamed haemorrhoids.
Add the oak bark to boiling water and then continue to simmer on a low heat for another 15 minutes. Strain out the oak bark and add the tea to a sitz bath.
Bathing time: 20 minutes, initially once a day, then 2 to 3 times a week.
