1 piece of fresh ginger root
1 cup hot water
1 tsp honey, if preferred
Peel the ginger root and cut into thin slices.
Pour the hot water over one teaspoon of the sliced ginger, cover and allow to infuse for 10 -15 minutes. 1 to 2 cups per day as required.
Add some honey to taste and drink in sips. You will soon notice the warming effect.
**Don’t drink ginger tea or only drink very small amounts if experiencing pregnancy nausea** as consuming bigger quantities of ginger could induce premature labour.
Don’t use for children younger than 6.
Ginger tea can have the following effects:
Nausea, bloating, fatigue, cold, flu, coughing, sore throat, sensitivity to cold (shivering)
