What can I do myself?

  • As a preventive measure, don’t read while travelling by train, bus or car, but rather look out the window (take tablets before leaving on a trip, if necessary)

  • Vomiting persists for several days, in particular in older people and babies
  • High fever, severe stomach ache or disorientation
  • Vomiting after a trip to the tropics
  • Vomit is bloody, dark or black or smells like stool
  • Poisoning is suspected
  • Vomiting without feeling nauseous
