200 - 500 g cooked potatoes
1 cloth and gauze
1 woollen cloth or towel
Crush the cooked potatoes into large pieces, wrap them in a cloth and fashion a poultice.
Important: Only use warm poultices for patients who don't have a fever. Before applying, test the temperature against the inside of your forearm in order to avoid burns.
The poultice should always feel pleasant to the patient; if not, the poultice should be removed immediately.
How long: 30 minutes to 2 hours; repeat as often as desired.
A potato poultice is warming and can loosen phlegm.
